        GRS 6SMP-4 Surface Mount Woofer

         

        The GRS 6SMP-4 is a 6-1/2" 4-ohm surface-mount woofer designed with performance and practicality in mind. Its damped poly cone and rubber surround ensure clean response with minimal resonance, while the 5 mm Xmax allows for high-output, low-distortion bass extension down to 40 Hz. The voice coil features an aluminum former for effective heat transfer, and a copper cap on the pole reduces inductance for cleaner high-frequency performance. With a sensitivity of 90.2 dB @ 2.83V/1m and 50 watts RMS power handling, the 6SMP-4 is well-suited for high-efficiency DIY loudspeaker projects, midbass reinforcement, or compact two-way designs. A vented pole piece helps maintain performance under load, and the integrated gasket ensures an airtight seal in cabinet builds.
