        GRS 10SMP-8 Surface Mount Woofer

         

        The GRS 10SMP-8 is a 10" poly cone woofer with an 8-ohm impedance, tailored for surface-mount installations demanding strong bass extension and compact design compatibility. With a usable frequency range from 24 Hz to 2,000 Hz and 70 watts RMS power handling, this woofer balances efficiency and output. The vented pole piece improves cooling, while the copper cap helps reduce inductive distortion. A 39 mm aluminum voice coil former enhances thermal stability under high power conditions. Its 340 cm² cone area and 170 cm³ Vd provide solid low-end performance, while the low Qts (0.58) and moderate sensitivity (87.5 dB @ 2.83V/1m) make it ideal for sealed or vented enclosures. Whether used in shallow home subwoofers, compact PA systems, or custom car audio builds, the GRS 10SMP-8 delivers consistent, high-quality low-frequency output in a low-profile form factor.
