        Fosi Audio Merak CD Player with DAC & Headphone Amplifier

         

        The Fosi Audio Merak brings CD playback, digital conversion and headphone listening together in one compact unit. Its precision mechanism and optimized servo system are designed for accurate disc reading, stable tracking and smooth playback, while reducing wear during long-term use. Gapless playback makes the Merak especially suitable for live recordings, symphonic music and albums where tracks flow continuously into each other.

         

        For system integration, the Merak offers USB-A and CD inputs, plus 3.5 mm headphone, line, optical and 12V trigger outputs. This makes it easy to connect to external DAC converters, amplifiers or active speakers. The included IR remote supports operation up to 7 meters, with convenient control over playback, input/output selection and track navigation.

         

        Inside, the Merak uses an SC6137D chipset with a CS43131 DAC and a dual TPA6120 op-amp design. It supports up to PCM 16bit/96kHz from CD and USB flash drive playback. The line output delivers at least 2 Vrms with 124 dB SNR and 0.0009% THD+N, while the headphone output provides at least 210 mW + 210 mW into 32 ohms, suitable for headphones from 16 to 300 ohms.

         

        The Merak also adds practical features for everyday listening. ESP anti-skip protection uses 60-second buffering to help prevent interruptions from vibration, and the lid-open auto stop function stops disc rotation when the lid is opened. USB drive playback supports MP3, WAV, FLAC, AAC, APE and WMA files, while one-touch CD ripping saves original CD audio to a USB drive as lossless 16bit/44.1kHz WAV files.
