The JDM Tinned Copper Foil series is built for demanding audio circuits where capacitor quality matters. It is suitable for speaker crossovers, signal electronics and bypass capacitor applications, making it a versatile choice for high-quality audio builds and upgrades.
Its construction uses a wax paper in oil dielectric, a design approach previously reserved for Duelund’s top CAST series. The paper separating the copper foils is vacuum impregnated, after which the windings are also wax impregnated to help seal the winding completely.
The capacitor wind sits within an outer paper material and is potted using the same material as Duelund’s CAST models. This construction is intended to create a robust, high-performing capacitor with the sonic advantages of copper foil technology.
For installation, the outer lead-out closest to the edge of the capacitor is connected to the outer foil. It should be connected to the lowest impedance path to ground, generally the signal output. As part of the capacitors range for audio crossover components, it is a superior replacement for the discontinued Duelund Copper Foil Precision Bypass Capacitors.
