The Duelund JDM Tinned Copper Foil capacitor is built for demanding audio use where component quality in the signal path matters. This 0.56 µF version is rated at 600 VDC and specified with a 10% tolerance, making it suitable for signal electronics, speaker crossovers and bypass capacitor applications.
JDM stands for Jensen Domestic Market, a reference to the Jensen capacitor manufacturing heritage that Duelund worked closely with. The capacitor uses tinned copper foil and a wax paper in oil dielectric, a construction approach previously reserved for Duelund’s top CAST series.
The paper between the copper foils is vacuum impregnated, after which the windings are also wax impregnated to help seal the winding completely. The capacitor wind sits inside a paper outer material and is further potted using the same material as Duelund’s CAST models, resulting in a robust, high-performing capacitor for premium crossover components and other audio builds.
This radial, leaded capacitor has a 42 mm diameter x 62 mm body, with 1 mm diameter x 62 mm lead-outs and a weight of 0.16 kg. The outer lead-out closest to the edge of the capacitor is connected to the outer foil and should be connected to the lowest impedance path to ground, generally the signal output.
