The Duelund JDM Tinned Copper Foil capacitor is part of the JDM series, short for Jensen Domestic Market. It is built around a tinned copper foil design and is intended for demanding audio use, including signal paths, loudspeaker crossover networks and bypass capacitor positions.
Its wax paper in oil dielectric is a construction approach previously reserved for Duelund’s higher-end CAST series. The paper between the copper foils is vacuum impregnated, after which the winding is also wax impregnated to help seal the capacitor and support long-term performance stability.
This 0,047 µF version is rated at 600 VDC with a 10% capacitance tolerance. The capacitor uses a radial, leaded mounting format and features tinned copper leadouts. Its body measures 22 mm in diameter by 41.5 mm in length, with 0.94 mm diameter leadouts that are 54 mm long, making it suitable for point-to-point wiring, crossover layouts and audio builds using high-quality capacitors.
For correct orientation, the outer leadout closest to the edge of the capacitor is connected to the outer foil. In typical use, this side should be connected to the lowest impedance path to ground, generally the signal output.
