JDM stands for Jensen Domestic Market, a reference to Jensen capacitor manufacturing and the close working relationship between Jensen and Duelund. This capacitor is intended for demanding audio use where construction quality and material choice are important.
Its copper foil winding uses a wax paper in oil dielectric, a construction approach associated with Duelund’s higher-end CAST series. The paper between the copper foils is vacuum impregnated, and the windings are additionally wax impregnated to help seal the capacitor winding completely.
