The Duelund JDM Pure Copper Foil capacitor is part of Duelund’s JDM line, with JDM standing for Jensen Domestic Market. These capacitors are designed for speaker crossovers, signal electronics and bypass positions, and can be used as replacements for the discontinued Duelund Copper Foil Precision Bypass capacitors.
Its construction combines copper foil with a wax paper in oil dielectric, a material approach previously reserved for Duelund’s top-tier CAST series. The paper separating the copper foils is vacuum impregnated, after which the windings are also wax impregnated to help seal the winding completely.
The capacitor body is made with an outer paper material and is further potted using the same material as Duelund’s CAST models. This robust construction supports stable electrical and mechanical performance in demanding audio applications.
The JDM-CU-600-0.82 has a capacitance of 0.82 µF, a 600 Vdc rating, 10% capacitance tolerance and copper leadouts. The outer leadout closest to the edge of the capacitor is connected to the outer foil and should be connected to the lowest impedance path to ground, generally the signal output in crossover components or other audio circuits.
