The Duelund Coherent Audio JDM-CU-600-0.047 is part of the JDM Pure Copper Foil capacitor range. JDM stands for Jensen Domestic Market, referencing the Jensen capacitor manufacturing heritage that Duelund worked closely with. This capacitor is suitable for speaker crossovers, signal electronics and bypass capacitor use.
Its construction uses copper foil with a wax paper in oil dielectricum, a material approach previously reserved for Duelund’s top CAST series. The paper separating the copper foils is vacuum impregnated, followed by wax impregnation of the windings to help seal the capacitor completely.
The outer material is paper, with the capacitor winding potted inside using the same material approach as the CAST models. This robust construction is designed to deliver high performance while keeping the benefits of copper foil in a compact bypass capacitor format.
The capacitor is rated at 600 Vdc and has a 10% capacitance tolerance. It features copper leadouts, and the outer leadout closest to the edge of the capacitor is connected to the outer foil. For installation, this leadout should be connected to the lowest impedance path to ground, generally the signal output.
