The JDM Pure Copper Foil range brings Duelund’s copper foil capacitor design to audio builders who want a high-grade component for crossover components, signal electronics and bypass applications. JDM stands for Jensen Domestic Market, a reference to the Jensen capacitor manufacturing heritage that Duelund worked closely with.
This capacitor uses wax paper in oil dielectricum, a construction approach previously reserved for Duelund’s top CAST series. The paper between the copper foils is vacuum impregnated, followed by wax impregnation of the windings to help seal the capacitor winding completely.
The outer material is made from paper, with the capacitor winding potted inside using the same material as Duelund’s CAST models. This construction is designed to create a robust, high-performing copper foil capacitor for refined audio circuits and precision capacitors upgrades.
For installation, the outer leadout closest to the edge of the capacitor is connected to the outer foil. This leadout should be connected to the lowest impedance path to ground, generally the signal output. The JDM Copper series can also be used as a replacement for discontinued Duelund Copper Foil Precision Bypass Capacitors.
