Duelund Coherent Audio CAST-PIO-CU-SN-630-2.2 Capacitor
The Duelund CAST-PIO-CU-SN-630-2.2 is part of Duelund’s CAST Paper in Oil capacitor range and uses tinned copper foil in a high-grade audio capacitor construction. With a capacitance of 2.2 µF, 2% tolerance and 630 V rating, it is suitable for premium crossover components, signal applications, bypassing and filtering where component quality is critical.
Its construction builds on the Duelund Virtual Stack Foil design and combines paper in oil with Duelund’s proprietary WPIO dielectricum. The impregnation process takes several days under high pressure, creating strong damping properties and a high level of mechanical stability.
The CAST process is further supported by a ring of hard-pressed paper, which strengthens the damping characteristics of the capacitor body. This approach helps reduce mechanical influence on the signal path and supports a natural, effortless presentation in high-end audio systems, including premium speakers and amplifiers.
DCA16GA wire lead-outs are used for the connections. The outer lead-out, positioned closest to the edge of the capacitor, is connected to the outer foil and should be connected to the lowest impedance path to ground.
