        Product details CAST-PIO-CU-SN-630-0,47

Duelund Coherent Audio CAST-PIO-CU-SN-630-0,47 0.47 µF 2% 630 V CAST Paper in Oil Copper-Tin Capacitor

The Duelund Coherent Audio CAST-PIO-CU-SN-630-0,47 is part of the no-compromise CAST PIO tinned copper capacitor range. It uses copper-tinned foil in a paper-in-oil construction, combined with Duelund’s proprietary WPIO dielectricum. This dielectric requires several days of impregnation under high pressure, resulting in a capacitor built for demanding audio performance.

The CAST process is designed to create strong damping properties and very high mechanical stability. A ring of hard-pressed paper further reinforces the damping behaviour, supporting a natural and effortless musical presentation. The design builds on the Duelund Virtual Stack Foil principle, created to minimise losses, distortions and microphonics.

For installation in premium crossover components, this capacitor uses Duelund DCA16GA wire readouts. The outer lead out, located closest to the edge of the capacitor, is connected to the outer foil and should be connected to the lowest impedance path to ground for optimal implementation.

Duelund capacitors are suitable for crossover networks, signal coupling, bypassing and filtering. They can be used in speakers, amplifiers, preamplifiers, DACs, CD players and other audio equipment where clarity, dynamics, transparency, tonality and realism are important.
