Duelund Coherent Audio CAST-PIO-CU-SN-630-0,33 CAST Paper in Oil Tinned Copper Foil Capacitor
The Duelund Coherent Audio CAST-PIO-CU-SN-630-0,33 is part of Duelund’s top-level CAST capacitor range, designed for accurate and natural sound reproduction in high-performance audio systems. Its tinned copper foil and paper-in-oil construction make it a premium choice among audio capacitors.
At the core of the design is Duelund’s proprietary WPIO dielectricum, which undergoes several days of high-pressure impregnation. Combined with the CAST process, this creates strong damping properties and high mechanical stability, helping reduce unwanted vibration and microphonics in sensitive crossover components.
The construction builds on the Duelund Virtual Stack Foil principle, a design approach developed to minimize losses, distortion and microphonics. A ring of hard-pressed paper further strengthens the damping characteristics, supporting effortless musical flow in speakers, preamplifiers, DACs, CD players and related audio circuits.
Duelund DCA16GA wire lead-outs are used for connection. The outer lead-out, positioned closest to the edge of the capacitor, is connected to the outer foil and should be connected to the lowest impedance path to ground. This makes the capacitor suitable for refined signal coupling, bypassing, filtering and use in high-quality amplifiers.
