Duelund Coherent Audio CAST-PIO-CU-SN-630-0,1 0.1 µF 2% 630 V CAST Paper in Oil Tinned Copper Foil Capacitor
This CAST capacitor is built around a tinned copper foil with paper in oil construction and Duelund’s proprietary WPIO dielectricum. The impregnation process takes several days under high pressure, creating a capacitor body with strong internal damping and high mechanical stability.
The design builds on the Duelund Virtual Stack Foil principle, developed to reduce losses, distortion, and microphonics in audio circuits. A hard-pressed paper ring further strengthens the damping properties of the CAST construction, helping the component maintain stable performance in high-resolution systems.
Duelund DCA16GA wire lead-outs are used for connection. The outer lead-out, positioned closest to the edge of the capacitor, is connected to the outer foil and should be connected to the lowest impedance path to ground when installing the component.
The CAST series is suitable for demanding audio applications such as crossover components, signal coupling, bypassing, and filtering. It can be used in speakers, amplifiers, preamplifiers, DACs, CD players, and other audio equipment where natural, accurate reproduction is the goal.
