The CAST-PIO-CU-SN-100-2,7 is part of Duelund Coherent Audio’s top-tier CAST capacitor range. Its construction uses tinned copper foil combined with paper in oil and a proprietary WPIO dielectric system, making it a premium choice for demanding capacitors in refined audio circuits.
The design builds on the Duelund Virtual Stack Foil principle, developed to reduce losses, distortion and microphonics. The high-pressure impregnation process takes several days and contributes to the capacitor’s exceptional damping properties, helping maintain mechanical stability during operation.
Duelund’s CAST process adds further mechanical control. A ring of hard-pressed paper reinforces the damping characteristics, supporting effortless musical flow and a natural presentation. The capacitor is suitable for audio applications including crossover components, signal coupling, bypassing and filtering.
For installation, the outer lead-out closest to the edge of the capacitor is connected to the outer foil. It should be connected to the lowest impedance path to ground. Duelund DCA16GA wire lead-outs are used, making this component suitable for high-quality speakers, amplifiers and other serious audio builds.
