The Duelund Coherent Audio CAST-PIO-CU-SN-100-1,5 is part of the brand’s top-level CAST capacitor range, developed for natural and accurate sound reproduction. Its tinned copper foil, paper in oil structure and proprietary WPIO impregnation make it a high-quality choice for demanding capacitors in audio circuits.
The CAST construction is designed to deliver very high mechanical stability. Several days of high-pressure impregnation and the addition of a hard-pressed paper ring create strong damping properties, helping reduce unwanted mechanical effects that can influence audio performance.
This capacitor builds on Duelund’s Virtual Stack Foil design, a construction approach aimed at minimizing losses, distortion and microphonics. It is suitable for use in crossover components, signal coupling, bypassing and filtering applications where clarity, dynamics, transparency and tonal realism are priorities.
Duelund DCA16GA wire lead-outs are used for connection. The outer lead-out, positioned closest to the capacitor’s edge, is connected to the outer foil and should be connected to the lowest impedance path to ground.
