        The Duelund Coherent Audio CAST-PIO-CU-SN-100-1 is part of Duelund’s top-level CAST PIO capacitor range, designed for serious audio use where natural sound reproduction and low mechanical influence are priorities. Its tinned copper foil, paper-in-oil construction and proprietary WPIO dielectric make it a premium choice among high-end capacitors.

         

        The CAST construction builds on the Duelund Virtual Stack Foil principle and uses several days of high-pressure impregnation. This process creates strong damping properties and a high degree of mechanical stability, helping the capacitor perform consistently in demanding crossover components and signal applications.

         

        A hard-pressed paper ring is added to further strengthen the damping behavior of the design. Duelund DCA16GA wire lead-outs are used for connection, and the outer lead-out closest to the edge of the capacitor is connected to the outer foil. For best practice, this outer foil lead should be connected to the lowest impedance path to ground.

         

        Duelund capacitors are suitable for audio applications including crossover networks, signal coupling, bypassing and filtering. They can be used in speakers, amplifiers, preamplifiers, DACs and CD players where clarity, dynamics, tonality and realism are important.
