The CAST-PIO-12-CU-1 is built for demanding audio crossover work, using pure copper foil wound onto a compressed paper former and insulated with waxed and oiled paper. As one of Duelund’s premium crossover components, it is intended for use in audio crossover networks, filters and electronics where a natural, clear and dynamic sound is required.
Duelund’s CAST construction is central to the performance of this inductor. The proprietary WPIO dielectricum is applied through a high-pressure impregnation process that takes several days, followed by a rigorous casting process. This creates a highly damped and mechanically stable structure that helps reduce vibration-related effects and microphony.
The copper foil version uses 150 micrometer thick copper foil with a 20 mm height, equivalent to 12 AWG.
