The CAST-PIO-12-CU-0,82 is designed for premium loudspeaker filter work where the inductor is a critical part of the signal path. As one of Duelund’s high-quality air-core coils, it uses copper foil wound onto a compressed paper former, with waxed/oiled paper providing the insulation between the foil layers.

Duelund’s CAST approach combines WPIO impregnation with a rigorous casting process to create exceptional damping and mechanical stability. This helps the inductor resist vibration and microphony, making it suitable for high-end crossover components where clarity, naturalness, and low interference are essential.

The copper foil version uses 12 AWG foil that is 150 micrometres thick and 20 mm high. This construction supports low resistance and low distortion, while the fully vacuum-impregnated design improves thermal stability and long-term reliability in demanding audio applications.

Twisted copper leadouts complete the inductor and make it ready for integration into custom crossover networks, filters, and other audio electronics. Its distinctive potted CAST build reflects Duelund Coherent Audio’s focus on hand-made, individually tested components for audiophile systems.
