The Duelund Coherent Audio CAST-PIO-12-CU-0,62 is designed for demanding crossover components applications where stability, damping and signal integrity are critical. It uses copper foil wound onto a compressed paper former, with the foil layers insulated by waxed/oiled paper for a construction focused on both electrical and mechanical performance.

Its CAST process uses a proprietary WPIO dielectricum and requires several days of impregnation under high pressure. This creates a highly damped inductor structure, further strengthened by a hard-pressed paper ring and a rigorous casting process that keeps the coil mechanically stable.

The CAST copper foil version uses 150 micrometer thick copper foil with a 20 mm height, corresponding to 12 AWG construction. Twisted copper leadouts complete the design, keeping the material approach consistent throughout the signal path.

As an air-core coil, this inductor is suitable for high-end audio crossover networks, filters and related electronics. Its combination of vacuum impregnation, WPIO insulation and cast mechanical damping makes it a strong choice for builders who want refined performance in custom speakers.
