        The Duelund Coherent Audio CAST-PIO-12-CU-0,47 is a 0.47 mH, 5%, 12 AWG CAST copper foil air-core inductor for demanding audio crossover work. It combines copper foil, waxed/oiled paper insulation and Duelund’s WPIO vacuum impregnation to deliver high mechanical stability, strong damping and long-term reliability.

        Duelund Coherent Audio CAST-PIO-12-CU-0,47 0.47 mH 5% 12 AWG CAST Copper Foil Air-Core Inductor

        The CAST-PIO-12-CU-0,47 is built for high-end crossover components where low-loss signal handling and mechanical stability matter. Its air-core construction uses pure copper foil wound onto a compressed paper former, with waxed and oiled paper providing the foil insulation.


        Duelund’s CAST copper foil construction uses foil that is 150 micrometres thick and 20 mm high, corresponding to the 12 AWG format. The inductor is terminated with twisted copper leadouts, keeping the conductor path consistent throughout the component.


        The proprietary WPIO dielectricum is applied through a full vacuum impregnation process under high pressure over several days. Together with the CAST process, this gives the coil strong damping properties and a level of mechanical stability designed to reduce vibration-related interference in audio circuits.


        For demanding loudspeaker filters and premium coils, the CAST-PIO-12-CU-0,47 offers a carefully damped, hand-crafted alternative to conventional inductors. Its construction is aimed at clear, natural and dynamic sound reproduction with high reliability under demanding audio use.
