The CAST-PIO-12-CU-0,33 is part of Duelund Coherent Audio’s top-line CAST inductor range, designed for demanding audio crossover networks, filters and electronics. As a premium choice for high-end crossover components, it uses pure copper foil wound onto a compressed paper former for a carefully controlled air-core coil structure.
Its 12 AWG copper foil is insulated with waxed/oiled paper and treated with Duelund’s proprietary WPIO dielectricum. The full vacuum impregnation process under high pressure takes several days, creating an inductor with excellent damping properties and very high mechanical stability.
The CAST construction adds a rigorous casting process around the wound element, while a ring of hard pressed paper further reinforces the damping behaviour. This helps reduce microphony and vibration effects that can interfere with delicate audio signals in coils used for loudspeaker crossover designs.
Twisted copper leadouts provide a conductor-matched termination for integration into suitable audio circuits.
