The CAST-PIO-12-CU-0,22 is built for high-end audio crossover applications where coil quality, stability, and low-loss signal transfer matter. Duelund Coherent Audio uses pure copper foil wound onto a compressed paper former, with the foil layers insulated by waxed/oiled paper for a carefully controlled air-core construction.

The inductor is fully vacuum impregnated under high pressure using Duelund’s proprietary WPIO dielectricum. This multi-day impregnation process is central to the CAST design, creating very high damping and mechanical stability to help reduce vibration-related artefacts in demanding audio systems.

As part of Duelund’s potted CAST range, this copper foil model receives a rigorous casting process that keeps the inductor stable in use. A ring of hard-pressed paper further strengthens the damping behaviour of the design, making it a premium choice among high-quality audio coils.

The 12 AWG copper foil construction uses foil measuring 150 micrometres thick and 20 mm high, terminated with twisted copper leadouts. Suitable for crossover networks, filters, and electronics, it is designed for audiophiles and speaker builders who want a durable, low-distortion component for refined speaker performance.
