The SS8-PR is an 8" Signature Series passive radiator designed to complement the SS8-22 subwoofer and other small-format drivers. Built with a rugged aluminum cone, compliant suspension, and adjustable tuning system, it offers precise low-frequency tuning for compact enclosures without the need for a traditional port.
The SS8-PR is engineered to provide flexible and accurate low-frequency tuning in compact enclosures. It features a robust cast aluminum frame and a rigid anodized aluminum cone, offering durability and a visual match with the active Signature Series subwoofers. The compliant suspension ensures stable and linear travel, essential for maintaining accuracy during high excursion.
At the core of its tuning capability is the SMS™ (Sandwich Mass System), which minimizes angular torque and improves linearity. The radiator comes equipped with a threaded rod and lock nut assembly, allowing users to easily adjust the tuning frequency by adding or removing the included weighted discs. Five 46 g discs are supplied, giving the user precise control over system resonance and low-frequency extension without relying on a vented port design.
Cosmetically and mechanically aligned with the Signature Series subwoofers, the SS8-PR integrates seamlessly into builds where space constraints or aesthetic consistency are critical. It is the ideal solution for extending bass response in compact enclosures while maintaining the premium performance expected from the Signature Series lineup.
