    Included with the KAB-23 are five wire harnesses: One for external Bluetooth LED, one for 3.5mm line out, one for the Bluetooth reset switch, one for connecting to stereo speakers if you use the built-in amp, and one 4-pin for connecting one of the Dayton Audio LBB battery boards. These cables are all that's needed to complete most projects and the JST type plugs speed-up installation and create confident connections. There is no need to solder or troubleshoot loose and unstable contacts. Once the plugs are securely seated take extra caution if they need to be unplugged

     

    Add Bluetooth 5.0 to any high wattage amplifier board or audio receiver with Dayton Audio's KAB-23 receiver/amp board. The built-in Qualcomm Bluetooth 5.0 module's streaming audio quality rivals that of CDs since the Bluetooth chip supports aptX, aptX HD, aptX LL, SBC & AAC. High receive sensitivity with RF power up to 9 dBm and -90 dBm, and on board antenna insure stable wireless connectivity up to 15m (50ft.) On board external antenna jack enables the KAB-23 board to be mounted in a metal enclosure with an external rubber antenna (sold separately).The PCM5121 DAC chip converts the digital signal to the analog RCA and 3.5 mm audio out jacks.
     
     
    Although this board's design is for adding Bluetooth 5.0 to an audio project, it also incorporates two NS4168 audio amplifier chips. With a maximum output of 2 x 3W the Dayton Audio KAB-23 is perfect for small audio wireless projects. For small portable wireless projects add the LBB-3v2 battery board with the included 4-pin wiring harness and get days of play time. For evenlonger play time, turn the DAC switch to off when using the speaker outputs by themselves.
