        Dayton Audio's unique DAEX25X4-4 exciter assembly employs an array of four separate exciters coupled together with a frame. This combined motor strength actuates an area larger than what conventional exciters can drive, resulting in higher power handling and more output.

        The Dayton Audio exciter assembly's unique design uses four 25 mm exciters coupled to a plastic frame to actuate a larger area with more force than conventional designs. This array of exciters is wired in a series-parallel configuration for an overall impedance of 8 ohms and power handling of up to 40 watts RMS.


        The DAEX25X4-4 exciter features the same ability to turn nearly any surface into a speaker as other exciters and tactile transducers do, only with a larger contact area and moving mass that increases energy transfer. Perfect for use in walls, drop ceilings, or even cabinet doors.


        To ensure maximum acoustic energy transfer between the transducer and the surface to which it is attached, 3M VHB (Very High Bond) adhesive is pre-applied... just peel and stick! Connection is made with 25.4cm wire leads to keep installation and wiring as simple as possible.


        A great field of application for this exciter is so-called DML or flat-panel speakers. DML stands for Distributed Mode Loudspeakers and is a term for speakers that catch the eye with their incredibly slim design.

        De Bullfrogs heb ik bevestigd op panelen van 140cm x 80cm. Dit heb ik opgehangen met vliegerdraad aan een kledingrekken om zevolkomen vrij te laten spelen. Deze panelen heb ik gecombineerd met een actieve subwoofer en ingeregeld met een miniDSP. Het resultaat is eigenlijk high/end hifi. Ronduit verbluffend. Je moet het horen om te geloven! TIP: zorg ervoor dat speakerdraad het paneel niet raakt, ik heb noppenfoam tussen draad en paneel geplaa...
