        Dayton Audio CFC100-4 3.5" Carbon Fiber Full-Range Woofer 4 Ohm

         

        The Dayton Audio CFC100-4 brings carbon fiber cone construction to compact full-range woofer projects at an accessible price. Its woven carbon fiber cone is rigid and lightweight, helping reduce unwanted flex while keeping vocals, instruments and midrange detail clean and articulate.

         

        With a usable frequency range of 90 to 12,000 Hz and 85.5 dB sensitivity at 2.83V/1m, this driver covers a wide bandwidth for its size. The 4-ohm impedance makes it suitable for a broad range of compact speakers, custom audio systems and DIY upgrades where space is limited but clarity still matters.

         

        The 20 mm 2-layer voice coil uses an aluminum former for responsive operation, while the ferrite motor provides the control needed across the driver’s working range. A low-loss rubber surround and large flat spider allow smooth, linear movement, and the ±2.5 mm Xmax helps deliver useful low-frequency output from the compact 3.5" frame.

         

        The low-profile stamped steel frame is easy to integrate into small enclosures and supports both flush and surface mounting. For builders working with compact audio components, the CFC100-4 offers a practical balance of broad response, controlled performance and attractive carbon fiber styling.
