Dayton Audio's BPS-G fully insulated binding posts feature a patented mechanism that applies straight clamping pressure on spade and bare wire connections. The fully insulated design protects against short circuits, and blanking plugs are included to conform with European LDV standards. Finally, the 1-1/4" threaded posts make these ideal for installation directly into thick enclosure walls.

Using a patented design, the Dayton Audio BPS-G insulated binding posts applies pressure to bare wire and spade connectors using a liner action clamping mechanism. The clamping surface of other binding posts apply pressure while rotating which can cut into bare wire or force out spade connectors, however these posts have a collar that moves straight up and down, with no rotational force, for even pressure and an ideal connection. For added protection when using bare wire connections, there is a plastic strain relief integrated into the inside of the clamping sleeve to securely hold wires without cutting or shearing through the fragile strands. The clamping mechanism also uses a locking thread design to prevent these posts from loosening up from heavy vibration providing a worry-free, reliable connection.
To help prevent accidental shorts or shock, these posts are fully insulated in a clear polycarbonate shell and even include optional red and black blanking plugs to fully comply with the European Low Voltage Directive. In addition, with a 1-1/4" long 1/4" diameter threaded post the BPS-G binding posts are easy to install directly into the thick walls of speaker enclosures. These posts are fully touchproof to comply with both UL and CE safety standards and are rated to handle up to 60A of current.
