Beyma CD-314Nd High-Frequency Compression Driver
The Beyma CD-314Nd is a next-generation 1.4” exit compression driver built for high-output, high-clarity applications in professional audio. This driver utilizes a 3” (76.2 mm) copper-clad aluminum voice coil wound on a Nomex former and is rated for 130 W AES (above 1.2 kHz) or 90 W AES (above 0.8 kHz), with a peak program power of up to 260 W. Its high sensitivity of 110 dB (1W/1m) ensures outstanding output with minimal power input when coupled to a TD-385 horn. Beyma’s patented Deplocex® technology improves thermal dissipation, reduces power compression, and allows for extended power handling under continuous use. The exclusive titanium diaphragm and surround are FEM-optimized for extended linearity and minimal resonance. Additional features include a copper shorting cap for reduced distortion and a specially designed metal alloy phase plug to improve high-frequency distribution and reduce phase cancellations. Operating in a broad frequency range from 600 Hz to 20,000 Hz, with a recommended crossover at or above 0.8 kHz (12 dB/oct), the CD-314Nd is ideal for use in touring systems, high-end PA setups, and fixed installations where precise, high-SPL HF performance is critical. The high-grade neodymium magnetic structure and aluminum body keep the total weight to just 1.8 kg while delivering powerful acoustic output. Its compact 109 mm diameter and mounting pattern (four M6 threaded holes on a 101.6 mm circle) allow easy integration into modern horn systems.
