        Beyma 4FR40 Full-Range Frequency Transducer

         

        The Beyma 4FR40 is a 4” full-range frequency transducer built for compact systems where clear, wide-range sound is essential. With 40 W AES and 80 W program power handling, and a sensitivity of 87 dB (1W/1m), it’s suited for distributed audio, beam-steering columns, and portable mini PA systems. Its frequency response spans from 100 Hz to 20,000 Hz, supported by a lightweight paper cone and flexible Santoprene™ surround for detailed mid and high-frequency performance. The driver features a pressed steel basket and ceramic magnet structure, combining durability with cost-effective efficiency. The 0.8” (20.3 mm) voice coil is optimized for low distortion and enhanced transient behavior, while the compact depth (60 mm) and lightweight build (0.55 kg) allow easy integration into space-constrained applications. With an Xmax of 3 mm and high mechanical compliance, the 4FR40 delivers stable low-excursion performance despite its small size. This transducer excels in modern install sound solutions and custom column speaker builds where precision, dispersion control, and compact form factor are critical.
