        Beyma 12MC500 Low & Mid Frequency Transducer

         

        The Beyma 12MC500 is a 12-inch transducer engineered for use in high-performance 2- or 3-way PA systems and professional line arrays. With an AES power rating of 500 W and 1.000 W program power, it delivers robust performance backed by a high sensitivity of 98 dB (1W/1m). Its frequency response spans from 65 Hz to 5,000 Hz, making it suitable for both bass and midrange duties. The 12MC500 is built around a 2.5” copper voice coil cooled by Beyma’s Malt Cross® Technology, which minimizes power compression and ensures reliable operation under continuous load. An FEA-optimized magnetic circuit with an aluminum demodulating ring improves linearity and reduces harmonic distortion. A weather-treated cone on both sides provides environmental durability, and the mechanical design supports a controlled excursion of ±8 mm, with a peak-to-peak damage limit of 40 mm. With a compact depth of 140 mm and a net weight of 5.8 kg, the 12MC500 is ideal for tightly packed enclosures requiring clean, efficient low-mid reproduction in portable and installed sound systems.
