Amplimo XA261 Power Transformer Tube Amplifier 121 VA Toroidal Power Transformer for Valve Amplifiers with 2 x 115 V Primary and 300 V, 6.3 V, 10 V and 20 V Secondaries
The Amplimo XA261 is built for valve-amplifier power stages where multiple isolated secondary voltages are required from one compact toroidal transformer. Its 300 V secondary delivers 310 mA for high-voltage supply needs, while the 6.3 V winding provides 4 A for heater circuits. Additional 10 V and 20 V windings, each rated at 100 mA, support auxiliary circuits in suitable amplifiers.
The transformer uses two 115 V primary windings. These can be connected in series for 230 V mains operation or in parallel for 115 V mains operation, making the XA261 suitable for different mains environments when wired correctly. All listed voltages are specified under full ohmic load, with 8% regulation.
With a diameter of 98 mm and a height of 48 mm, the XA261 offers a practical form factor for chassis-mounted tube amplifier designs and related amplifier accessories. The transformer weighs 1.4 kg without mounting materials, and all leads are approximately 200 mm long for flexible internal wiring.
Mounting hardware is included: one 70 mm metal washer, two 70 mm neoprene washers and an M5 x 55 bolt with nut. The transformer is manufactured and tested according to EN61558 and is suitable for 50 Hz and 60 Hz operation. Time-lag fuses are required on the primary side, with 1.2 A for 115 V mains and 0.63 A for 230 V mains, and each secondary winding requires additional protection in the final power supplies design.
