        Amplimo 7N607 Power Transformer Tube Amplifier 286 VA toroidal power transformer for valve amplifiers

        The Amplimo 7N607 is designed as a dedicated power supply transformer for tube amplifier projects. Its two 115 V primary windings can be wired in series for 230 V operation or in parallel for 115 V operation, making it suitable for common mains configurations when installed correctly.


        On the secondary side, the transformer provides 340 V at 700 mA, 6.3 V at 6.8 A and 50 V at 0.1 A. These windings support typical valve amplifier requirements, including a high-voltage supply, heater supply and an additional low-current auxiliary winding. All secondary voltages are specified under full ohmic load, with 5% regulation.


        The toroidal construction keeps the unit compact for its power rating, measuring 123 mm in diameter and 57 mm in height, with a transformer weight of 2.9 kg excluding mounting materials. It is supplied with one 90 mm metal washer, two 90 mm neoprene washers and an M5 x 70 bolt with nut, placing it among practical Electromechanics parts for amplifier construction.


        All leads are solid and approximately 200 mm long for integration into the amplifier chassis. The transformer carries KEMA KEUR, ENEC, CE and UL/CSA approvals. Time-lag fuses are required: 3.15 A for 115 V mains with two NTC2.5 resistors in series, 1.6 A for 230 V mains, 800 mA for the 340 V secondary and 0.16 A for the 50 V secondary. This makes the 7N607 a robust choice within amplifier accessories for serious tube amplifier builds.
