Amplimo 4N605 Power Transformer Tube Amplifier 100 VA Toroidal power transformer for valve amplifiers with 290 V, 6.3 V and 40 V secondaries
The Amplimo 4N605 is designed for valve amplifiers that require a dedicated high-voltage supply alongside heater and auxiliary windings. Its two 115 V primary windings can be connected in series for 230 V operation or in parallel for 115 V operation, making the transformer suitable for different mains configurations.
The secondary side provides 290 V at 250 mA, 6.3 V at 3.8 A and 40 V at 100 mA. These outputs make the 4N605 a practical core for amplifier power supplies where separate high-voltage, filament and auxiliary rails are needed. All voltages are under full ohmic load, with 8% regulation.
The toroidal construction keeps the transformer compact, with a diameter of 92 mm and a height of 49 mm. It weighs 1.4 kg without mounting materials and is supplied with mounting hardware: one 70 mm metal washer, two 70 mm neoprene washers and an M5 x 55 bolt with nut. All leads are solid and approximately 200 mm long for straightforward integration into a chassis.
The 4N605 carries KEMA KEUR, ENEC, CE and UL/CSA approvals, with KEMA certificate 96 2307 and UL file number E179800. Time-lag fuses are to be used: 1.25 A for 115 V mains, 0.63 A for 230 V mains, and secondary fusing of 0.25 A, 4 A and 0.16 A for the 290 V, 6.3 V and 40 V outputs respectively.
