        The Amplimo 40PP4K0H is designed as a toroidal tube output transformer for push-pull amplifier applications requiring a 4000 Ω primary impedance. As a precision audio component for tube amplifiers, it provides a 40 W nominal power rating and secondary taps for 4 Ω and 8 Ω loudspeaker loads.

         

        Its electrical design supports a wide -3 dB frequency bandwidth from 5 Hz to 95 kHz, with power bandwidth starting at 19 Hz. The transformer features a turns ratio of 22 for 4 Ω and 31 for 8 Ω, plus 35% ultra-linear taps for compatible tube output stages.

         

        The 40PP4K0H is potted in a black textured aluminium shell for a robust, compact build. It measures 126 mm in outside diameter and 66 mm in height, weighs 2.8 kg, and mounts with an M8x20 centre bolt, making it a practical choice among amplifier accessories for high-quality DIY or service work.

         

        Connection is made via 200 mm leads. The primary side provides anode, B+, anode, and ultra-linear connections, while the secondary side provides 0, 4 Ω, and 8 Ω outputs. Use only one secondary tap at a time, and carefully insulate the green and grey ultra-linear leads with heatshrink if they are not used.
