        Amplimo 2N1586 Power Transformer Tube Amplifier 50 VA Toroidal Power Transformer for Valve Amplifiers

        The Amplimo 2N1586 is designed for valve-amplifier power applications, making it a focused choice for builders working on amplifiers that require a high-voltage secondary and separate heater windings. Its toroidal construction keeps the transformer compact, with an 85 mm diameter and 43 mm height.


        The primary side uses two 115 V windings, allowing series connection for 230 V operation or parallel connection for 115 V operation. On the secondary side, the transformer provides 275 V at 90 mA, plus two 6.3 V windings rated at 2 A each. All output voltages are specified under full ohmic load, with 12% regulation.


        For integration into power supplies for tube amplifier projects, the 2N1586 includes approximately 200 mm solid leads and clearly defined winding connections. Mounting materials are included: one 70 mm metal washer, two 70 mm neoprene washers, and one M5x50 bolt with nut.


        Safety and protection are addressed with KEMA KEUR, ENEC, CE and UL/CSA approvals, plus RoHS compliance. Time-lag primary fuses are required: 0.5 A 5 x 20 mm IEC127 high I²t for 115 V mains, or 0.25 A 5 x 20 mm IEC127 high I²t for 230 V mains. Additional protection is required for each secondary, making it a suitable component among specialist amplifier accessories for careful DIY and service work.
