        Amplimo 28012 50 VA 2 x 12 V Toroidal Transformer

         

        The Amplimo 28012 is built around a 50 VA toroidal core for efficient mains transformation from 230 VAC at 50/60 Hz to two separate 12 V secondary windings. Each secondary is rated at 2.08 A, making this transformer suitable for builders working on power supplies and other low-voltage AC circuits that require a stable dual-output transformer.

         

        The dual secondary design gives you flexible wiring options. The windings can be connected in series to double the secondary voltage, or in parallel to double the available secondary current. This makes the 28012 a practical choice within electromechanics projects where voltage or current requirements may vary per design.

         

        Installation is straightforward thanks to the supplied mounting hardware: one 70 mm metal washer, two 70 mm neoprene washers, and an M5 x 50 mm bolt with nut. The transformer measures 80 mm in diameter and 39 mm in height, with a weight of 0.74 kg. All leads are solid and approximately 200 mm long for convenient internal wiring.

         

        For protection, use a time-lag primary fuse rated at 0.25 A in 5 x 20 mm IEC127 format with a high I²t value. No secondary fuse is specified. The 28012 carries KEMA KEUR and ENEC approvals, UL/CSA approval under UL file number E320377, and is CE and RoHS compliant, making it a dependable component for quality accessories and electronics assemblies.
