The Amplimo 20PP8K0H is a wide bandwidth toroidal push-pull tube output transformer rated at 20 W, with an 8 kΩ primary impedance, 0-4-8 Ω secondary taps, and a compact potted aluminium housing.

The Amplimo 20PP8K0H is built for push-pull tube output stages that require a high-quality 8 kΩ primary transformer with flexible secondary connections. As an audio component for valve amplifier projects, it provides secondary impedance taps for 0, 4 Ω and 8 Ω, with turns ratios of 45 for 4 Ω and 32 for 8 Ω.
Performance is focused on wide-band reproduction, with a -3 dB frequency bandwidth of 5 Hz to 80 kHz and a power bandwidth starting at 19 Hz. The transformer is rated for 20 W nominal power and includes 35% ultra-linear taps, making it suitable for compatible tube amplifier output circuits.
The electrical design includes a primary inductance of 1500 H, primary leakage inductance of 14 mH and primary capacitance of 480 pF. DC resistance is 113 Ω on the primary side, with secondary DC resistance of 160 mΩ at 4 Ω and 280 mΩ at 8 Ω.
The 20PP8K0H is potted in a black textured aluminium shell and measures 106 mm in outside diameter by 55 mm high. It weighs 2.6 kg, uses an M8x20 centre bolt for mounting and is supplied with 200 mm leads. Use only one secondary tap at a time, insulate unused wires, and carefully insulate the green and grey ultra-linear leads with heat shrink when they are not used.
