        The Accuton C168-6-890 Bass-midwoofer is a 168 mm ceramic CELL bass-midrange driver designed for demanding 2-way loudspeaker systems, combining controlled bass capability with refined midrange resolution and very low distortion.

        The Accuton C168-6-890 takes a distinctive approach to high-end audio components with its full-featured CELL concept and ceramic dome construction. As a 168 mm bass-mid woofer, it is built to combine bass extension, bandwidth and midrange precision in one driver.

         

        Its construction separates the surround from the ceramic dome by attaching it to the voice coil former, helping prevent unwanted interaction with the dome while providing safe excursion limitation. The spider is mounted inside the 114 mm voice coil, supporting high excursion linearity and controlled movement.

         

        The proprietary motor system is designed so the rear side of the dome remains unobstructed, reducing the risk of reflections and stored energy. With 87 dB sensitivity, a 41 Hz resonance frequency, 15 litres Vas, Qts of 0.44 and a low 0.2 mH voice coil inductance, the C168-6-890 is engineered for clean, detailed output across its recommended 40 Hz to 3500 Hz range.

         

        This driver is especially well suited to premium 2-way systems where bass authority and midrange quality are equally important. Its ideal acoustical center is designed to match Accuton tweeters, making it a strong choice for advanced loudspeaker projects that demand coherent integration and uncompromised resolution.
