        SoundImports AC25 2.5 Way Floorstanding Speaker kit | Components and Flatpack

         

        The AC 25 is a SoundImports-developed 2.5-way floorstanding loudspeaker for builders who want a complete, well-balanced DIY speaker kit. Its classic layout combines premium drivers from Peerless and SB Acoustics with a slim enclosure that fits easily into many living rooms, audio setups and home cinema spaces.

         

        The driver configuration uses two SB Acoustics 15NRXC30-8-131T midwoofers together with a Peerless DX25TG59-04 dome tweeter. This combination delivers an open and detailed top end, a natural midrange and a surprisingly full, controlled low-frequency response for a compact-width floorstanding design.

         

        With a sensitivity of 91 dB at 1 W/1 m and a nominal impedance of 4 ohms, the AC 25 is relatively easy to drive. Its 47 to 20,000 Hz frequency range makes it suitable for a wide range of music styles, films and everyday listening, while the 100 watt power handling gives the design practical flexibility in typical hi-fi systems.

         

        The cabinet measures 95 x 17.15 x 23.5 cm, making it narrow enough to place next to a TV or audio furniture without dominating the room. As a pair of slim tower speakers, the AC 25 kit includes the wood flatpack, giving you a complete loudspeaker design at an attractive price for serious DIY audio building.
