        The Dayton Audio CFC150-8 is built around a woven carbon fiber cone that keeps moving mass low while adding the rigidity needed for clean, controlled output. As a compact woofer, it is well suited to space-conscious speaker projects where cone stiffness and usable bandwidth are important.

         

        With a rated impedance of 8 ohms, 40 watts RMS power handling, and 85.2 dB sensitivity at 2.83V/1m, the CFC150-8 offers practical performance for compact speaker builds. Its usable frequency range of 50 to 7,000 Hz makes it an excellent choice for compact 2-way designs.

         

        The motor structure includes a vented pole piece to improve voice coil cooling and help reduce power compression. A raised pole piece creates a more symmetrical magnetic field, supporting controlled displacement across the driver's 3.5 mm Xmax.

         

        Key parameters include Fs of 80 Hz, Qts of 0.87, Vas of 4.12 liters, and a 25 mm voice coil diameter. These specifications make the CFC150-8 a strong candidate for compact bass-mid woofer applications where extended midrange response and useful low-frequency output are both required.
