Product details miniDSP Flex Eight + UMIK-1 Bundle
miniDSP Flex Eight + UMIK-1 Bundle 8-channel 2x8 DSP audio processor and USB measurement microphone bundle
This product bundle is built around the Flex Eight, a compact 2x8 processor for advanced audio routing, crossover design and system tuning. With eight full DSP channels, it is suitable for active loudspeaker systems up to stereo four-way, as well as two-way, three-way and multi-subwoofer configurations. It is a powerful solution for modern DSP modules setups where flexible signal processing and precise output control are required.
The Flex Eight uses a 400 MHz Analog Devices SHARC processor and supports processing functions such as parametric EQ, IIR and FIR filters, crossovers, advanced biquad programming and delay on each output channel. The analog output stage is designed for low noise and distortion, with a specified SNR of 128 dB(A) and THD+N of -111 dB. Control is handled through the miniDSP Device Console, while the OLED front panel, encoder knob and IR remote provide convenient day-to-day operation.
The included UMIK-1 microphone turns the bundle into a complete measurement and tuning package for acoustic measurements. This omni-directional USB microphone is driverless on Windows, Mac and Linux, uses 24-bit conversion at 48 kHz and comes with a unique calibration file linked to its serial number. With Room EQ Wizard and Dirac Live support, it enables calibrated SPL measurement, speaker development, room acoustic analysis and live sound tuning.
Connectivity includes stereo digital inputs via USB Audio, S/PDIF, optical and Bluetooth, plus eight unbalanced RCA outputs with a maximum output level of 2 V RMS. The Flex Eight is software-upgradable with Stereo Dirac Live for full-range room correction from 20 Hz to 20 kHz. The processor includes an IR remote, universal 12 V power supply, USB cable and a coupon for one free miniDSP plugin download, while the UMIK-1 includes a case, 2 meter USB cable, mini-stand, microphone clamp and wind screen.
