The miniDSP SHD Studio + UMIK-1 Bundle combines an all-digital SHD Studio streaming DSP processor with the calibrated UMIK-1 USB measurement microphone, giving you the core hardware needed for Dirac Live room correction, digital routing and accurate room measurement.
miniDSP SHD Studio + UMIK-1 Bundle Digital DSP streamer with USB measurement microphone
This product bundle is built for digital hi-fi systems where room correction, streaming and measurement need to work together. The SHD Studio functions as a high-definition network streamer and digital processor, while the UMIK-1 provides the calibrated microphone input required for reliable acoustic measurements and Dirac Live setup.
The SHD Studio uses a 32-bit floating-point 450 MHz Analog Devices SHARC DSP and a dedicated quad-core ARM processor for network audio streaming. It comes preloaded with Volumio, supports music from local network storage, USB media, internet radio and Spotify, and is certified Roon Ready for integration with Roon software. Digital inputs include USB Audio, AES/EBU, SPDIF and optical, with dual stereo digital outputs via SPDIF RCA and balanced AES/EBU XLR.
The included UMIK-1 is an omni-directional USB measurement microphone with driverless USB Audio Class 1.0 operation for Windows, Mac and Linux. Each microphone includes a unique calibration file referenced to its serial number, with on-axis and 90-degree calibration data. With calibration loaded, it offers a 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response within +/-1 dB, 24-bit / 48 kHz conversion and a maximum SPL of 133 dB at 1 kHz.
For system tuning, the SHD Studio offers ten-band parametric EQ per channel, crossovers up to 48 dB/octave, compressor/limiter functions and a 2x4 matrix mixer. This makes the bundle suitable for applications ranging from subwoofer integration to active two-way speaker setups, with outputs 3 and 4 also able to feed the front headphone output or external DAC converters in more advanced digital systems.
