miniDSP Flex HTx + UMIK-1 Bundle 8x8 Balanced and Unbalanced SHARC DSP with USB Measurement Microphone
The Flex HTx is designed as a powerful DSP module for multichannel home theater and advanced audio systems. Its 8x8 matrix architecture lets you process up to 8 input and 8 output channels, while the 32-bit floating-point 400 MHz Analog Devices SHARC DSP provides precise control for routing, crossover, gain, delay and equalization tasks.
For integration into modern home audio systems, the Flex HTx offers HDMI eARC/ARC for multichannel PCM audio, multichannel USB audio streaming up to 7.1, plus stereo digital inputs via S/PDIF and optical. The unit also supports control and configuration through miniDSP Device Console, includes four DSP presets, and features a white/black OLED front panel controller with IR control. Multichannel HDMI playback requires LPCM output from the source, as Dolby/DTS bitstream decoding is not supported.
The included UMIK-1 makes this bundle ready for serious acoustic measurements. This omni-directional USB measurement microphone uses a 6 mm electret capsule, operates as a USB Audio Class 1 device, and is automatically recognized by Windows, Mac and Linux without driver installation. With its unique calibration file referenced to the microphone serial number, it supports accurate speaker, room and live sound measurement workflows.
The UMIK-1 operates at 24-bit / 48 kHz, offers a calibrated frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz ±1 dB, and handles up to 133 dB SPL at 1% THD at 1 kHz with 0 dB analog gain. The microphone kit includes a hard cardboard case, 2 meter USB cable, pivotal mini-stand, microphone clamp and windscreen, making the bundle a complete starting point for room correction preparation, REW measurements and Dirac Live tuning workflows.
