miniDSP Flex Digital + UMIK-1 Bundle digital DSP processor with calibrated USB measurement microphone
The miniDSP Flex Digital is a compact 2-in, 4-out audio processor built around a 32-bit floating-point 400 MHz Analog Devices SHARC DSP. It is designed for demanding DSP modules applications, from digital stereo preamp use to subwoofer integration, active speaker setups, home theater systems and recording studio workflows.
Its processing toolbox includes flexible parametric EQ, IIR and FIR filters, crossovers, advanced biquad programming and delay on each output channel. The digital version provides stereo digital input options via USB Audio, S/PDIF, optical and Bluetooth, while its processed outputs are available via USB Audio, S/PDIF and TOSLINK. An OLED front panel with volume control and IR remote support makes everyday operation straightforward.
The included UMIK-1 makes this product bundle especially useful for acoustic measurements and room tuning. This omni-directional USB measurement microphone uses a 6 mm electret capsule, operates as a driverless USB Audio Class 1 device on Windows, Mac and Linux, and includes a unique calibration file referenced to its serial number. With calibration loaded, it delivers a 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response within ±1 dB.
The UMIK-1 supports 24-bit conversion at 48 kHz and handles up to 133 dB SPL at 1 kHz with 1% THD at the 0 dB analog gain setting. It is recommended for Dirac Live tuning and works with measurement software such as Room EQ Wizard, including calibrated SPL measurement. The microphone kit includes a hard cardboard case, 2 m USB cable, pivotal mini-stand, microphone clamp and wind screen, making this bundle a practical choice for test measurement, room correction and speaker development.
