This bundle is designed for users who want to measure and correct their audio system with a practical, compact setup. The UMIK-1 captures reliable room and speaker data for acoustic measurements, while the 2x4 HD applies DSP processing for system equalization, crossover setup, subwoofer integration and multi-sub integration.
The miniDSP 2x4 HD is built around a 400 MHz Analog Devices ADSP21489 floating point SHARC processor. It supports parametric EQ, Butterworth and Linkwitz-Riley crossovers, advanced biquad programming, delay on each output channel and assignable FIR filter taps. This makes it a powerful choice among compact DSP modules for two-way active loudspeakers, sub-sat systems and room correction projects.
Connectivity is flexible for both desktop and home audio systems. The 2x4 HD offers asynchronous USB audio streaming up to 192 kHz, a TOSLINK optical input, stereo RCA analog input and four RCA analog outputs. It also includes USB control for Windows and Mac, firmware upgrade capability, four preset memories and an IR learning remote function for input selection, volume, mute and preset recall.
The UMIK-1 is a USB-powered omnidirectional measurement microphone with an integrated 24-bit ADC at 48 kHz, driverless support for major operating systems and compatibility with measurement software such as Room EQ Wizard. Each microphone has unique calibration files, including on-axis and 90-degree calibration options, with a calibrated frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz ±1 dB. The microphone package includes the UMIK-1, a 1.5 m shielded USB cable, mini tripod and foam windscreen.
