        The Fosi DAC & AMP Bundle ZA3 & ZD3 is designed for listeners who want a compact, high-performance signal chain for passive speakers. The ZD3 handles digital-to-analog conversion from modern digital sources, while the ZA3 provides the power needed to drive your speakers in a desktop, living room or nearfield listening setup.

         

        The ZA3 is a versatile 2-channel amplifier with dual-mode functionality. In stereo mode, it drives two passive speakers with a clear and detailed presentation. In mono mode, it can dedicate its output to a single speaker for a more powerful setup, or two ZA3 units can be used in mono for improved channel separation and a wider stereo image. Its Texas Instruments TPA3255 chip delivers efficient digital amplification, with up to 2 x 155 W in stereo mode or 235 W in mono mode when used with a 48 V/5 A power supply.

         

        The ZD3 is the digital front end of the bundle. Built around the ESS ES9039Q2M DAC chipset, this DAC converter supports high-resolution playback via USB up to PCM 32-bit/768 kHz and DSD512. It also supports optical and coaxial PCM up to 24-bit/192 kHz, Bluetooth 5.0 streaming up to PCM 24-bit/48 kHz and HDMI ARC input for easy integration with a TV or media setup.

         

        Together, the ZA3 and ZD3 create a flexible and clean home audio system with balanced XLR and RCA connection options. The ZD3 offers both XLR and RCA outputs, making it a strong match for the ZA3’s balanced and single-ended inputs. Both units also support user-replaceable op-amps, giving enthusiasts the option to fine-tune these audio components with compatible upgrades such as SparkoS SS3602 Dual Op Amps.
