        The Duelund Coherent Audio JDM-PIO-12-CU-1,5 is a 1.5 mH, 5%, 12 AWG pure copper foil air-core inductor for loudspeaker crossover networks, built with waxed/oiled paper insulation and full deep vacuum impregnation.

        The Duelund Coherent Audio JDM-PIO-12-CU-1,5 is part of Duelund’s entry-level WAX/PIO inductor range for loudspeaker crossover networks. It is intended for high-quality passive crossover components where material choice, low distortion and mechanical stability matter.


        Instead of conventional round wire, this JDM inductor uses annealed pure copper foil. The foil is 150 micrometres thick and 20 mm high, corresponding to 12 AWG, and is wound onto a compressed paper former. The integral copper foils also serve as the terminals, keeping the construction direct and purpose-built for audio use.


        Duelund’s waxed/oiled paper insulation and proprietary WPIO dielectricum are central to the design. The inductor is fully deep vacuum impregnated under high pressure over several days, rather than simply dipped in wax. This process provides strong damping properties and very high mechanical stability, helping the coil resist vibration and microphony.


        As an air-core design, the JDM-PIO-12-CU-1,5 is made for filters and crossover networks in demanding speakers. For DIY builders and crossover designers comparing premium coils, its zero-plastic construction, pure copper foil conductor and wax/paper dielectric make it a distinctive choice in the Duelund range.
