        The JDM-PIO-12-CU-1,2 is part of Duelund Coherent Audio’s JDM range of non-potted air-core copper foil inductors. Designed for loudspeaker crossover networks, filters, and audio electronics, it is a high-quality choice for builders selecting premium crossover components.


        Instead of conventional round wire, this inductor uses annealed pure copper foil measuring 150 micrometre thick by 20 mm high, corresponding to 12 AWG. The foil is wound onto a compressed paper former and insulated with waxed and oiled paper, with the integral copper foils also used as the terminals.


        Duelund’s wax PIO construction uses paper and wax dielectric materials with zero plastic. The coil is fully deep vacuum impregnated under high pressure with the proprietary WPIO dielectricum, a process that takes several days and gives these coils their strong mechanical damping and stability.


        This construction helps reduce microphony while supporting low distortion, low resistance, and reliable performance in demanding audio applications. The result is a copper foil air-core inductor built for clear, natural, and dynamic sound in refined speaker crossover designs.
