        The Dayton Audio PCS8-4 is designed as a compact subwoofer driver for systems that need strong bass output without requiring a large enclosure. Its 43 Hz free-air resonance, 20.5-liter Vas, and 0.49 Qts make it well suited to efficient low-frequency designs where enclosure size and output capability both matter.

         

        The cone assembly combines a paper cone with a grey poly coating and an inverted dust cap, giving the driver a clean modern look while maintaining a practical, robust construction. A large-roll rubber surround supports the 5 mm Xmax excursion, helping this driver move enough air for convincing bass performance in compact speaker projects.

         

        With 150 watts RMS power handling and 90.3 dB sensitivity at 2.83 V/1 m, the PCS8-4 offers useful efficiency for a 4-ohm driver. Electrical and mechanical parameters include 3.4 ohms Re, 1.55 mH Le, 8.4 Tm BL, 43 g Mms, and 213 cm² Sd, giving builders the key values needed for enclosure and system planning.

         

        Extensive motor and former venting help improve cooling under load, supporting reliable operation when the driver is pushed in demanding bass applications.
